Liverpool midfielder Ryan Gravenberch has reveal that he has been pressure by new head coach Arne Slot to work hard on the No. 6 or No. 8 position, running box-to-box, because it is the heart of the way he wants to play for the team.
In the summer 2024 inbound market, the team originally plann to pursue Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad. But was reject by the player who won the last European Championship with the Spanish national team. And the recruitment department did not have a second-choice option that was pleasing. So they had to focus on polishing the current force.

“I had a little chat with him beforehand and he was told to do his homework on playing in the number 6 and number 8 positions,” he said on the official website.
“He’s now playing me as number 6, a position I’ve played in before, so I know what I need to do. It’s fun to be put in there.”
“It’s a different system to the one we played last season, but I think everyone has to adapt to that. We’ll just keep building on that and I think in the end we’ll be a team that dominates possession.”
“Next game is against Brentford. As a home team, it’s ยูฟ่าเบท special. Hopefully the weather will still be good on Sunday because meeting the fans again is something I’m looking forward to.”
“We know where we stand.”
“Brentford is a good team, they have a good squad and in the Premier League, no game is easy, but we will give our all and hope to win.”
